Counselling offers the time for the exploration of and reflection on the issues and concerns that colour your life. It enables the development of clarity and self-awareness and promotes the ability to see the bigger picture. It can help you discover what you really want from life and what makes you happy in yourself. Counselling can help you understand and move on from the roots of problems such as depression or can enable you to understand the way in which patterns seem to repeat themselves in your life. It can also help you cope with times of change.
Having someone really listen to what you have to say, who makes no judgement and who has no other role in your life is a special experience. It is a joint venture that offers you a constructive space to look at your motivations, to explore your thinking and to arrive at your own solutions. The process needs your active participation and commitment. Sometimes it can be hard, uncomfortable work but the rewards can be immense and life enhancing.
COVID – As life returns to something like normal, we are able to meet face to face again. I continue to offer online sessions if that is more convenient or preferable.
